I have seen all his movies. He was excellent in his day, but I have to agree, in later years he put on the pounds! His real name though is Orin Boyd. His fan club is sseagalfanclub@yahoo.com

He was fantastic in Nico, Above the Law, Out for Justice, Hard to Kill, Under Siege 1 and 2, Fire down below, and many more. In fact, he wrote, produced and did the music for some of his films.

And according to fact, the movie Nico is loosely based on his life, so he does do his own stunts, and really does know martial arts. In fact he is a fundi on martial arts - so there, put that in your pipe and smoke it Cat (u probably like Paris Hilton with taste like that) !

Steven Seagal (born April 10, 1951), is an American action movie actor, producer, writer, director and a Blues singer-songwriter. A 7th-dan black belt in aikido, Seagal began his adult life as an aikido instructor in Japan, before moving to the Los Angeles, California area where, after being noticed by entertainment executives, he made his film debut in 1988. Since this time, Seagal has become a well recognized action star, with his movies earning more than $600-million worldwide.[1]

Seagal has used his fame as an action star to cross over to other industries, as he is also a recording artist and the founder of Steven Seagal Enterprises. In addition to his professional achievements, he is also known as an environmentalist, Aikido pioneer (Takeshigemichi), an animal rights activist, and for his belief in the Buddhist concept of reincarnation[1]

Seagal was born in Detroit, and raised in Southern California. His interest in the martial arts began at age seven. Discovering a Japanese dojo in a neighbouring town, he began studying Aikido, long considered the most difficult and spiritual of the martial arts discipline. A decade later, Seagal moved to Japan and established a reputation as a master of martial arts. He became the first non-Asian to organise his own dojo in Tokyo, one that, with over 2,000 students, remains in operation today.

I liked him until the other day on the news i saw him being interviewed after a concert he did (country music i think) and he was a right ****. Giving small answers and being offish and slightly rude too. Admitted he had no time for his fans and that he preferred singing to acting. Put me right off it did. (sorry)

He's a wife beater. His ex-wife, Kelly LeBrock ended the marriage due to his brutality. Sorry for the reality check but the guy's a sleaze in real life.
