Does he have a chance at President?

I think so. I don't think that experience counts for everything.

Look at the last 8 President's. None of them were great. None of them will get a face on Mt. Rushmore, or get their face on currency. Democrats believe some were better than others; Republicans feel the same way. But none of them have just done such an awesome job at being President that people called for a change in the Constitution, or anything like that.

I think it's time for someone who has fresh ideas, instead of just another person who's become bogged down by politics, or someone who's so deep into lobbyists pockets he can't get out. I believe that Obama represents the type of person who could change things. Will he? One can never tell until they take office.

There is no job that a person can hold that will give them experience as President. Clinton, widely disliked by many Republicans, was governor of Arkansas. President Bush was governor of Texas. Look at his current approval ratings. Give me someone as President who has little experience at the national level for four years -- I bet Obama will blow the last 8 guys out of the water.

Ron Paul Ron Paul gets his 13-25 p.c. from specifically independents, how many human beings have you ever heard say something yet obama? If Ron Paul gets the gop nomination theres a super form of folk who will vote for him merely through fact he's honesty and because he's not Obama. I vote for him through fact it incredibly is vote i would be happy with. while i'm on my dying mattress i would be proud to be conscious of I voted for a sturdy guy or woman, a truthful guy or woman and somebody which could continually safeguard the form and liberty.

I think he has a chance if he plays his cards right, which so far he has. He does have too little experience, but he also comes across as being perfectly capable of taking on the charge. If he can dodge the political bullets and gather enough political and financial support, I think he has a very good chance.

Well.... remember that everything always seems loyal, sincere, perfect and intelligent AT the beginning. Everything looks perfect at the beginning. After he got elected... he would remove his mask and show the 'real' beast inside him..... as everybody did before.
I think Hillary C would be not that bad even she is not the perfect one but considerably appropriate for that position.... I simply don't understand why people are so shallow and narrow and not able to see the real things beyond the border, beneath the surface. Why people are so superficial, only get impressed and amazed by someone's charm, loyalty, sincerity and intelligence only without looking what's behind 'his' curtain. Who is he? He just popped up to the surface in a sudden movement without ever being heard or known well before. AND suprisingly most Americans will vote for him. This phenomena is truly amazing. Americans will vote for something that are new and charming even they really don't know anything about him. They will vote blindly for Obama which definitely has a strong and firm Muslim background as his primal way of thinking and solving problems for everything.... without really really knowing the 'beast' within...... His background is Islam. His basic foundation is Islam. I am not degrading Islam as religion, not at all. Maybe this is the best way to make America become a biggest Muslim country. Then if so, so be it.
Always like this.... Also already happened many times in Bush periods. When Americans would be able to see things in a profound and thoughtful way? Americans always not being able to see things beneath the surface. I could do the same, all I have to do to win Americans' sympathy is just simply be nice, loyal, sincere and kind to everybody then you'll be accepted no matter what is inside my heart if I plan to shatter the reputation of USA worse after I got elected. :)

Obama to be honest I have to say that he seems so phony and fake.... He even has such a huge huge lack of experiences in politics. His loyalty, sincerity, and intelligence seem so superficial and made up only for making him win the election. Not true his inner loyalty, sincerity, and intelligence shine out from him. But he made it up like a wolf in a sheep clothing. Be aware of this tricky mischievous way to get something. Do not get impressed and amazed by someone's loyalty, sincerity, perfection and intelligence in the beginning especially when he wants to achieve something. Of course he shows all his bests in the beginning to win his ambitions. But after, would he stay and remain the same kind, loyal, sincere and intelligent as he promotes himself by now? I doubt it.... Be very careful.

Besides Hillary he is the only candidate that has corporate sponsorship, so I believe its going to come down to those two for the democratic nomination. But Hillary has more experience in politics, so the nod will no doubt go to her. I think General Wesley Clark will play a huge role in this. Whichever candidate chooses him as a running mate pretty much has my vote locked up.

He has no chance at all. Hillary will squash him, win the nomination, then lose the election. There is a silent majority in America who has a disdain for far left politics. Especially in times of war.

Don't listen to the media. They were wrong last time as well.

Yes, I think he does.

But I am not happy about it. He has charisma no doubt about it. but....... I once asked him why he voted the way he did on something I disapproved of--he blamed Bush for his vote. Now I am not a Bush fan but Bush did not twist his arm. He passed the buck, I didn't like it. When I asked again why (saying he made the vote not Bush) He passed the buck again (with a smile). I'm afraid I don't want someone like that running the country.
We will just have to see what happens but again yes he has a chance, people often vote just on ones charismatic personality and little else. Even when told of a great fault.

I'm going to have to say no. Statistics is against him. It was a series of accidents that got him his current spot in the senate and the likelihood of winning the Presidency as a freshman incumbent- even more statistically impossible.

I think he has a really good chance. Im a little uneasy about him not having any experience though. I mean come wartime do you really want a freshman in the oval office. But perhaps that would be a good thing not exactly sure.

Barack Obama has a chance to become a President. It is everybody's ballgame at this time. Everybody can be a President especially if he is chosen as the Democrat standard bearer.
