As there are now loads of them (Google pages; piczo, etc), which is the best for ease-of-use and for a more professional look (i.e., not just used by a bunch of teenagers)?

And why?

I can't speak for googlepages, but I have a piczo.

Piczo is pretty easy to use. You basically start with a blank page so you can make it look however you want. You don't need html to create the site, but you can add html if you want. I've seen some nice sites that were Piczo's and are used for business if that's what you mean by being professional. You can go to Piczo's homepage and click on the pictures to see some actual sites. There's quite a variety of what you can do.

I actually have both Piczo and Yahoo site. I like Piczo because it's free, easy to use (don't need to download any software), and no page limit. Yahoosite is great too, but from your question and list of example, I get a feeling you are looking for a free site.

I’ve found a fantastic company called Sitesell. This is the very first time I have ever built a website, so I needed a company who could take me by the hand, step by step!

I have nothing but praise for them! They make EVERYTHING so easy! They supply all of the online training, simple (yet incredibly sophisticated tools) and excellent support.

The cost is just $299 (£170) per year. That includes all of the above plus domain registration. They even supply the templates for designing your site! And don't worry about html coding or other techy stuff as that's all taken care of for you!

My site is only 9 months old. It is already very highly ranked by the major search engines and is attracting up to 1000 visitors a day! Plus it generates an income which not only covers the costs, but actually shows a healthy profit!

You can get more details from my information page at:

Best wishes

I really like Joomla. It's a CMS, which means if you allow others to register then they can add content to your site (friends, family etc...)

It's VERY easy to setup, comes with news feeds and RSS support and a bunch of other features.

1and1.co.uk is the easiest one around! It gives you proffessional templates to use if needed and there is a tutorial that is on the page and can be referred to over and over again.

I used yahoo sitebuilder. It is easy to use and the on line backup was excellent, I would recommend it.
