Some people would REALLY like to know what others think about the political problems of the day, without the "snappy" answers, without the name calling, the party-baiting, etc. This no longer seems to be the place for that. Now we just get Haters and comedians. Is there a true political forum anywhere for adults who are serious about politics??

True most people seem to have their(get a life)response on perma-paste. But I have had some people give insightful and thought provoking answers that I may not have agreed with completely but they did make me think. As long as their are people that have free thought and express that here I will continue to frequent this web site, and learn from it.

I think this has become a good training ground for anyone who wants to run for Congress. That's where most questions get vague, uninformed, uneducated, non-factual answers, with little or no basis, quality, or knowledge. It seems as if everyone screams so much at everyone else that all we hear is one overwhelming shouting match blended into one. I think some respondents on Y!A are very intelligent and provide good answers. It's just that when we are at war, those times bring about division and differing opinions. That's where alot of times the insults & less than quality answers come from. There I go referring to Congress again!

Sure. It is possible. If you would really like to ask a serious question that isn't a "leading question".

But if it bothers you to get some clowns blowing their horns, or shooting off their mouth....do what I do: Just ignore them. Bear in mind there are a lot of juveniles on this system who haven't had an adult idea in their lives; and there are a bunch of ignorant people who obviously don't have much of a social life, either. Just assume you will get a few of each of these categories.

It is the real mature and intelligent people you can appeal to, if you are willing to listen to their answers.

Doesn't get much cleaner than this sister. Have you been on usenet before? Put time and effort into the question, and don't ask during the busy times of the day, or if the stupid clones are rolling. A good question usually will elicit some thoughtful responses. If you don't like an answer thumbs down it and you don't have to see it anymore.

Smart-*** answers are common here, true. But they are usually the result of a lame question being asked. Or the SAME question asked a million times.

So you are saying that the only REAL questions are the ones who obey the format that you choose. I do not need tea leaves to determine your party.

In order to have a REAL question answered is to ask one; do you have one?
