If the devil collects souls... well difficult question with a lots of theories.

The soul can be described as high voltage energy-thing. This plasma-form-energy is chained to the body until death. After death, the energy detaches from the body, and it is reused by the birth of other organic beings. It is also reused to replace the energy absorbed from the energy system by many paranormal things. This energy can be positive or negative.

If the devil collects souls, he might transform their energy into a negative energy-wave, so evil grows on Earth. This is only one thesis, but definitely realistic. Or at least I think is it realistic.

He can also create an army of demons and ghosts to haunt on Earth. Or he empowers himself with the souls to defeat God.

But in my opinion: Believe nothing. Test everything. :))

might be his diet like on the Angel series where the demons devour spirits or as the less talented but still well written show Charmed the same kind of hoodooo happens but is quite entertaining . I still prefer the good vampire with a soul !
so much for fiction and fantasy....great entertainment as the writers have proven these ideas don't have to be hokey and B-rated ...kudos to the acting as well.

all people who have not repented from their sins and became to the Lord Jesus Christ, are the babies of the devil. God has arranged a place for all of them while their life in this earth is over and all would be in Hell. God has arranged this Hell additionally for the devil and His angels, in spite of if it's going to be God who will punish all unbelievers in Hell, no longer the devil. God collects souls, simply by fact all of us will return to God after we die and God will decide us all. Many,he will throw into Hell and Few, he will welcome into Heaven. examine Matthew 7, learn the huge and narrow highway. Which highway are you on?

well, the idea is, is the devil is collecting souls to populate Hell. the idea of the devil asking people to "sell" their souls is just the idea of people giving up their oppurtunity for any chance at getting to Heaven.

But I'm sure souls would make a wonderfully colored chandelier.

In only conservative Christians go to heaven, then the devil ends up with all the decent, intelligent, and good looking people. Sounds like a party to me.

Well since the devil is totally opposed to good, I'd say he'd want them to try and turn them evil so they could go to hell where he rules. He's always on the watch for more poor souls for his army for the final battle, GOOD vs. EVIL!!
