Me and you work at a shoe store. I dropped some boxes, spilling four different pairs of shoes. You picked up one shoes from the pile, and the nI picked up a shoe. What is the probability that the shoe I'm holding does not belong in the same box you are holding? (express as fraction)

How many faces does a trapezoid based prism have?

The odds of an event happening successfully are expressed as a:b, where a:b is the ratio of the probability of a successful event to the probability to and unsuccessful one? The odds of rolling a 5 on an unfair die are 1:3. What is the probability of rolling a 5 with this die? (express as percent)

Duringf a thunderstorm, I saw a flash of lightning and then six seconds later heard thunder. The speed of sound is 1088 ft/sec. How far am I from the lightning? (express to nearest thousand feet)

1) You have 7 shoes to choose from and 1 is the pair, so 1/7.

2) trapezoid has 4 sides, so there is 5 faces to the prism.

3) 1:3 means there are 4 possible outcomes (1+3). So rolling a 5 has a probability of 1/4 or 25%.

4) 1088 * 6 = 6528 ft (or 7000 ft)

5) N = 15*10 = 3*5*2*5. The answer is 3. (Because 5 is listed twice.)

pair of shoes = 4
probability to pick the same shoe= 1/7
probability to pick a other one = 6/7

a trapezoid prism got 5 faces

question is not clear

the time that thunder took to come to u = t
speed of sound = 1088 ft/sec = 336 m/s
speed of light = 3*10^6 m/s

3*10^6 * t = 336 * (t+6)
t = 0.000112(t+6)
0.999888 t = 0.000112*6
t = .000672 s

you ar 0.000672* 3* 10^6= 2016 m

N = 15 * 10 = 5 * 3 * 5 * 2
fewest number of factors = 3
