I think society is definitely getting worse, but there are little groups in it who work hard to make it better. If they grow, then there may be hope for a change.

Unfortunately we live in times where people don't care about anything, and take everything for granted. It's everything from having easy access to guns all the way thru playing music too loudly and swearing on the bus.

The success stories are so rare, and so small, that many people don't notice them. Sometimes the governments don't even want to help, they withold funds, don't approve worthwhile projects, etc.

Yes... definitely not enough care in this world. Although I hear there are places where people still love their neighbours and live happily together.

That's all the wonderful stuff the media likes you to see.

There are so many other things going on. Did you know there are people who dedicate their lives to helping other people who can't help themselves. Have you noticed that when the theres a big disaster we all quickly band together to help. no matter who we are or where we are if we see an old lady lying in the road we will rush to help her. If there's a car crash people always stop na dhelp.
The media only shows the bad stuff the shocking stuff. People are essentially good and the world is changing for the better as we speak.
just look for the good stuff

It is getting worse as with better technological weaponry, most politicians seek to use that power, often engaging in a myriad of conflicts and wars.

Worse. You don't have to see far. See people around you. they are getting more isolated and selfish.. thanks to the advanced technology of telephone, tv, computer. Count, you spend more facing computer, tv and telephone more than human being. You think we are getting better? We are growing distance, every one care more for themselves and numb themselves in these technology.. we are entering world of digital ie. humanless, care-less of each other, cold humanity.

Nobody gives a damn about anyone else, these days. They just want to get to were they need to go. Do what they have to.
Do you know your neighbours? I don't. And I don't really want to. I know they keep me up most nights, playing really crap music, too damn loud. I wouldn't really mind, if I didn't have to get up a 3:45am, to go to work. Sleep would help me get through the day.

Sometimes things have to get worse before better. its getting better in the sense that religions/spirituality is getting more diverse. There are more choices. Its getting worse because it seems so difficult to get rid of poverty.

it' s all in the mindset....
stuff keeps getting better...
we have better technology....which wasn't the case earlier...
but... responsibilities keep piling up...
so it's tough to manage...
mental illness...
that depends on the way we manage the data we receive thru our eyes and ears.....
