Hey..i think its pretty normal...your hormones right now are going crazy...but what i think would help for you to sleep at night is take a nice hot shower or bath...and then lie down in a cool room...im 26 weeks pregno right now and i am tired all the time..i also think a humidifire would help to..a constant soothing sound like that helps me fall alseep..and/or try reading something to get your mind off things..and read the book or magazine til u get sleepy..then turn out the lights! i hope this works! good luck!

I suffered from horrendous itching during my first pregnancy. Luckily w/ this second I've had very little. My obgyn said I could use Benedryl ( I used it at night since it puts me to sleep). It's totally safe. She also sent me to a Dermatologist who gave me an Rx for lotion. Make sure you don't take too warm of a shower, the cooler the water the better. Try using Gold Bond medicated powder. It smells horrible and won't completely take the itch away but it helps take the edge off. Oatmeal baths and Aveeno products may help too. I know how miserable you are. January is almost here and you'll be back to normal soon. If you have a bad rash, make sure your midwife checked your Liver function. There is a rare but very serious condition that should be ruled out.

Hi going a nice walk in the afternoon, is always relaxing and will help you sleep better at night. Also cutting back of caffeine and replacing this with chamomile tea, before bed is wonderful. Use a mp3 player to play so soothing relaxation music, also. There are many different cds for relaxating in your music store or mind, body and soul shops.

Ok do what I do, think of something that makes you happy. I close your eyes and just picture it in your mind. You'll fall sleep at sometime.
If not then maybe just take a warm bath and soak for a little. Your body will relax. After that get up and got to your room and lay down and close your eyes.
All of those have worked for me in the past, so maybe they might for you. I hope those work for you.

Try to keep yourself awake during the day (I know it is hard) then at night you will be sleepy. Try a warm shower, reading, have some warm milk, a massage or anything that relaxes you. I know it is tough, been there 3 times.

I am 18 weeks and on my 3rd child. This is normal for most people, I also have have a hard time getting to sleep, try putting a folded pillow between your legs at night while you are lying on your side. That has helped me many of times.

I don't remember what a good night sleep is like. I am 34 weeks pregnant and I constantly have to get up to go pee and I never sleep well, it is just a lovely part of being pregnant!

Try to make yourself super comfy, we have a featherbed and that made me pass out every night. I also went to babycenter.com and ordered a snoogle (maternity pillow) and that helped a bit too, I had something to wrap my legs around, and support my back when I layed on my side. Make sure you don't take any medications unless prescribed by your doc it's not safe.
