Paula Abdul seems to be under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. She's quite an embarressment to watch on TV and that's saying something considering the contestants they have auditioning.
That being said, should she be replaced?

Yes from day one she has been surrounded with controversy. It's quite clear she has a problem with drugs or alcohol. Then she has that seriously disturbing accusation by a contestant who said she had a relationship with him. She should of been fired then.
Here were are season 6 and it's only getting worse. Go to you tube and see Paula's interview. How can anyone think she represents the show properly? If she had any dignity whatsoever she'd leave the show.

Celebrities are basically an extension of "our" social society. It would be an amoral position to believe Paula as a representation to an any American Idol as a drunkard/drug addict to be acceptable.
It is inconsiderate to assume she is. She has been consistent in her actions, aside from the slur of words she made, and were repeated over & over on the news. This did attract attention to her.Bad publicity, for sure.
So, what if she is naturaly over zealous at times!
All in all, this just gave way for those unfortunate "fans", to pick Paula apart. Any false move she makes that may seem awkward is mocked. And the would be fans to wonder what's really going on. Network critics love this in addition to comedians, like Jay Leno/David Letterman etc.
IF, Paula is guilty as charged, I still say give her a break! I mean didn't Donald Trump just give a repreve to Miss USA? Yes. Not that that was okay.
The public accepted this. Why treat this situation any different for
Paula.

I think Paula Abdul & Simon should work part-time now. I think American Idol needs to bring in new judges asap. Maybe, mix up a large group of judges. I am so sick of seeing Paula Abdul & Simon. Simon is depressing to watch! They are just getting old! BORING! Same thing different day. I never liked Simon (What tallent does he have anyway?) he's just an old depressing fart & not very attractive, Paula is a little better but she is just getting old & it doesn't have anything to do with her age. I agree Paula seems to be using drugs maybe pain killers or alcohol maybe she's bored too?
American Idol we love you but we need something new!
Now, I like Randy. Randy actually seems to care about the contestants bad or good. Randy also actually critiques many of the contestants and I really like that. The judges should at least tell the contestants what is wrong most of the time enstead of just "no", the judges need to at least let us know they know something about music like Randy example he will tell a contestant "Your pitch is all off". I honestly like Randy a lot.
American Idol we love you but we need something new!

Randy can stay he seems like a nice guy & he seems care enough to acutally critique contestants during the auditions & to know something about music. If someone was judging me I would want it to be Randy.

Paula Abdul should be fired because American Idol is a family show and I for one do not want my family watching a drunk or druggie judging and commenting. She can't even get a proper sentence out half the time and this year her antics have reached an all time low. Quite honestly she is bringing down the entire show.

Rumors are circulating in the press that the producers of American Idol contacted Courtney Love about being a judge on the show. Now I love "Pawler" as I call her, lol...but lordy imagine the trainwreck that would ensue if Courtney joins the show! Haha! Pass the popcorn, gonna be a fun ride!

You know I said something to my boyfriend the other day that I thought she was on drugs. I was addicted to Chrystal Meth for about a year (Worst Mistake Of My Life) so I know a meth head when I see one. She was acting all stupid and obnoxious like I always did. When I watched it tonight she was acting normal so maybe she got the hint that she can't be doing that **** on national TV. I think that they should give her another chance. All I know if she acts like that again I will never watch that show again!

I absolutely think she should be fired. Alot of young people watch the show and she is a horrible example. I realize that people have problems, but I know if I showed up to work drunk or drugged I would be fired! And I am sick of her excuses. She must think people are idiots to not know she is on something!

Well i heard something about firing her, but they should find out first,if she is on drugs or alcohol because she maybe on drugs but it could be legal drugs she could be stressed out> But truly i believe her only problem is that she need a man in her life to give her some TLC!!!!.

My God when a half way decent looking guy comes on she
acts like a sex crazed maniac.
I keep waiting for her to rape one during auditions.
No wonder she can not get (or keep) a man.
You'd probably get something AJAX wouldn't scrub off!
Her chest is caved in when she wears low cut tops.

Good question. I don't watch American Idol that much, but I've heard she's been acting weird. I saw the show earlier. Is that why there was a 4th judge?
