you are definitely suffering from some type of phobia. go get it checked. dont worry about it or start to wonder if your are different. all of us have some problem. for some it is not that obvious for others it is. i too have some wierd problems but since i dont make it a big issue it does not bother me much - of course it took me a long time to train myself.
on the speech day:
do not look at anyone's eyes. look straight up ahead. ask someone that you are comfortable with to sit at the last so that you can look at him/her throughout the whole speech. just speak without thinking... just say all that you want to say the minute you get on stage. that way you will not allow for fear into your head. take deep breaths right before your turn to speech.
even if something funny happens, tell them frankly that you are having fear of speech and you could not overcome it. when you do that you will find teachers flocking in to help/support you. you might even be excused. you would even feel lighter since you have released your problem from bubbling inside you and make you feel sad ant what not. also when you do this, the students can not make fun of you because you yourself have come first to admit your downfall. people will make fun to make others feel worse right? how can they make you feel worse when you already admit that you have a problem? of course not. so do not worry, be strong. it does not matter if you have a problem because no one is perfect!!!! stand tall and face your useless fear and challenge the people who are going to watch you.
Add-ons: let us know how it went. well, i want to know.. Go there and do your best. :)

Prepare prepare prepare. Memorize you presentation and type it up in large print. That way if you get a bit lost it will be easy to look down and find your place again. Try to find a study buddy in your class and practice in front of each other. When presentation time comes look at that person and present to them as if they were the only person in the room. Having an encouraging person to look at helps a lot. You could also video tape yourself giving your presentation before hand. This would allow you to see what you really look like standing up there which will help you feel less nervous and allow you to better see problem areas and correct them. Good luck! Remember it is just a class and there is probably many others who are nervous.

When you get up there to talk, take a look at all the people in front of you. Now remember they are as nervous, if not more, about getting up there to speak. So, if you make any boo boos up there, these people will understand how you feel. A trick you can also do is look at everybody and pretend they are naked. (Just, whatever you do, don't point and giggle.) Try to be the very first speaker when the time comes, that way it is out of the way. I hope this helps, and good luck.

You know this fear thing ,more you give it room to develop it increases like anything.I had the same problem during my engineering days.Just look on the wall and say, don't look on friends. And another important thing ,we fear coz we think others will make fun of us.Just Just leave that thought from ur mind.Think ,OK they will laugh at me,let them laugh. Will it harm me? think. No ,absolutely No.Will they kill me,or I will be rusticated from my Institute ,No.
So there is nothing to fear.Let people say Blah Blah......You continue.Still I am not a good speaker ,but whenever it comes to presentation believe me I don't say No.U know one thing it help us in our general life also
Wish you A great presentation, and inform me Wat happened

sounds like u have social anxiety.
ive had it since i was a kid.
when u stand up infront of a crowd, or pass by a group of people, or even going to the store, it feels like everyones judging u--sizing u up and down.
i still have problems to this day when standing up infront of people and giving presentations.
i lose sleep over it the nite before.
but when the day comes and passes, nothing beats the feeling of knowing its over, u did it and it really wasnt that bad.
