I have recently thought about this question and decided to ask some questions. I found it quite enlightening. I asked many people I knew if they would be willing to kill someone for a large sum of money. I increased the amount of money from $1000 all the way up to $2 billion.

I found that a lot of people said "of course not" until the amount of money got extremely high, and others never said they would, and others were willing to for the lowest amount of money.

For some people, I think the honest answer would be C and for others it would be B. For a couple out there, I think the answer is A. Hopefully not too many of them though :)

A. Life costs zero.

The statement is saying that life has no monitary value since yu can not place a value on it. It is however not saying that life has no value, as the contributions of ones life can be very valuable. (Based on general interpretaion of statement.)

Hope this helps

I think fishermaniac's answer hits the nail on the head, it differs, for some, C, some, B, some A. I myself choose C, it is NOT infinity, but it IS too large to comphrehend. If it was infinity, then sacrificing your life to save others is worthless, because infinity cannot be sacrificed for something greater, only an equal infinity.

None, really, because the statement means that the concept of material value is not applicable to life. If I have to pick one answer, it's d.

a... other people's life
b.... own life
c.... life of near and dear

Incidentally, b and d are the same, both are imaginary numbers applicable for own life.
