If you want to be a tomboy, thats fine but really, what it a tomboy? I was always called a tomboy when I was young. I am 33 and I still don't like wearing skirts and dresses (I only do so when I have to go to a wedding or funeral). I always had more male friends than females - it was easier to relate to them with out all the cat fights etc. I do like to mow the lawn which my partner is quite happy to let me do. I like physical work around the house too. I'm not afraid to break my nails!! Both my kids are boys and have lots of friends who are boys, so I am always around them. I go to work with my partner again surrounded by males. I will watch sports on TV when I can but I am not shy or soft spoken and I look like a girl too. Be happy with who you are. I don't know how old you are but you are obviously young and have plenty of time to grow into a great lady. Enjoy your life as you live it now. Your family and friends accept you the way you are - that's all that matters

I don't know that there is an official description of what makes someone a "tomboy", but I do think it generally is used to describe girls that are physically active. Watching sports is tomboy-ish tho. If you want to call yourself a tomboy, go ahead.

Oh, you should nurture your girly side! Boys love the shy, cute ones and you should take advantage of that. I'm sure that there are shops out there that hold comfy girls' clothing (that doesn't look it); check out the sports stores like REI or Sport Chalet. You won't look girly, but the clothes are still boyish in a way. You should be thankful you are a girl and be content - that's the way God made you and He's got a plan for your life! Both guys and girls have things about themselves that they don't like, but if you were to suddenly think and be like a guy (after knowing already what it's like for a girl), you'd wanna change back. Plus, I don't think guys much like it when girls try to be like them. They (with a few scattered exceptions) like it when girls are feminine and pretty. It makes them feel manlier and tougher. Things will clear up soon, don't worry! ;)

Do you want to be a tomboy or do you feel shy of your workings?
Being a tomboy, is not a problem, as I think, as I am about to be a tomboy, though still I don't know how to swim or cycling....
Main thing is that to be such a person from whom people can achieve something and love... Sorry "Year"(I mean, "friend").. for my ....

It is called gender nonconformity. Many children born with this become or question if they are gay. I know many do not become gay. Science is trying to say it may be a predisposition for becoming gay.
If you consider you want to be a boy, you may be more predisposed than someone else with a gender nonconformity to becoming gay.
Homosexuality is constructed. So is hetrosexuality. You most likley will sway one way or the other .
Just knowing more information helps.
Some children learn characteristics that cause them to have gender nonconformity. maybe we all do, but some say it could be a hormonal imbalance in some that predisposes them to gender nonconformity. I think most children with the learned behaviour grow out those characteristics mainly. They may or may not construct homosexuality. You do not have to have a gender nonconformity to become, or construct homosexuality.
Just want you to know gender nonconformity is different than homosexuality, and do not let anyone tell you different.
It is true some children that have the gender nonconformity will continue to manifest this issue, and want to get a sex change later in life. Expensive, but it is an opption..
You have someone with a gender nonconformity, that exhibits characteristics that of the opposite sex to even wanting to be the opposite sex, then they could progress to transgender which is when someone lives as the opposite sex but is not pre opt yet, then you have the pre opt to sex change, also living as the opposite gender and planning to get a sex change.

Yes, you are a tomboy, but my niece is also, and that isn't a bad thing. You really need to be happy with who you are unless you hurt other people. No one should ever insult you or anyone else based on your clothing, sexual preference, etc.

Theres nothing wrong with being a tom boy , both my gifls they had to deal with 4 brothers so they were tom boys from the get go , they played baseball and rootball as good as most boys and could climb a tree as good as the best of them . But when they wanted to dress like girls they made the best of the girls ashamed .

I don't know if this can take a way any stress, it is usually a faze.
But don't worry It is normal for girls to like sports to.

You could be a tomboy. You could be a transman. You could be genderqueer, genderfluid, etc. Only you can really know what your gender truly is. Just be true to yourself.
