No, you do not need a special card to connect a router to your computer. As long as you have a network connection, a CAT-5 Ethernet network connection especially, you can use your router.

Most computers since 1995 have a built inEthernet slot (looks like a broadened phonejack connector), if you dont happen to have this connector on your PC than you a buy a PCI ethernet card( theyre rlly cheap, 10-20$)

Or a wireless NIC/USB adapter if it is a wireless router and you want to use it wireless

That depends, not if you have an onboard netowork interface, if you dont, you will need a NIC (network interface card).
