ok, obviously the colts are in the super bowl this sunday, I am a huge colts fan and have been waiting for this game for about 6 years now, I knew they were always good enough, and they finally made it, peyton manning is truly my hero, that being said I work part-time at a restaurant and my boss decided to schedule a staff meeting on sunday afternoon at the same time as the super bowl. As much as I want to go to the staff meeting I feel obligated to watch the super bowl, what do you think what would you do?

Normally I would tell you to go to your job functions and meetings in spite of when they are scheduled out of responsibilty and the fact the the Colts won't pay your bills should the boss fire you for missing work. Since you work part-time at a restaurant, I would play hookie if I were you big time to catch game. Especially if my favorite team was playing.

If the boss man fires you, so what? It isn't like you are losing a high paying gig working part-time in a restaurant. Another option would be to DVR or tape the game while you are at your staff meeting.

I hope your boss is a woman. Then I can understand why she would do something like schedule a work function in the middle of the Super Bowl. If he is a man, then he needs to check himself.

Your boss is crazy for scheduling a meeting during the Super Bowl. Who does that?

1) Suggest that he re-schedule the meeting for a different time (maybe earlier in the day) because many people like to go to the Super Bowl and have parties to host or go to.

2) Ask if him if you can be excused from the meeting because you are a big Colts fan and you would really like to watch the game.

3) If he refuses your excusal tell him that you would be willing to work an extra shift - as proof that you seriously want to watch the game.

4) If all else fails, hopefully you can be allowed to watch part of the game while the meeting is going on - and then run home afterwards.

Good luck, let us know how it works out!

How does your boss not know this is the biggest day of the year?!

Call in sick. You have been waiting 6 years for this and who knows when it will happen again that the Colts win over the Patriots in the playoffs. Not much beats watching your favorite team play in the super bowl (3 of last 6 and it was games i will never forget).

If you get fired, so what...find another part time job. If you dont dare call in sick, the restaurant must have tv's. Turn one on and WATCH IT.

GO PATS (oh thats next year)

Good luck.

Jaws sixty seven had an exciting theory....yet i might wish it would in no way be carried out. The great Bowl is going to distinctive cities each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days so the adventure is distinctive each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. this permits greater human beings the possibility to attend. It helps greater human beings to make funds from this journey. it would particularly suck if one city had a monopoly on the convention championships, the pro bowl (honolulu already does) and the excellent Bowl alongside with the BCS championship sport. it would additionally no longer be honest for any contemporary professional or considerable college city to have this stadium. And no person from that city ought to ever purchase or start up an NFL franchise the two so the full theory particularly sucks

Suggest to the boss to change the meeting. Remind the boss it is during the superbowl. If that doesn't work, then record the superbowl and party on a superbowl Monday instead, or a superbowl the Sunday after LOL!
