when i log on, i have to turn it back on"

Check to see if it's on when you log off of the computer, if it's on you should not have any problem with it when you turn it back on. But if it's off at all time yes when you turn the system back on you will have to turn on the firewall, But once you program it to stay on it's suppose to stay on at all times.

I would say bad software, get a new firewall, go to http://www.ca.com and check out their compleate security suite for 30days free. You will be glad you did, also, it is Vista ready, and they are the best hands down. No one does a better job than CA!
I have used their software for over 6 years now. No issues, ever!

You dont placed firewall.You do away with the non everlasting data and undesirable icons in the initiating toolbar.the main substantial reason on your computer slowdown is norton.It makes the pc very sluggish.You first del it and placed another virus scanners like avg,mcaffe etc...
