Anywat, the answer is d. 16cm

that's the reasoning :
Perimeter = sum of all the sides.
In a square, all sides are equal, i.e.

The answer is D.

The FOUR sides of a square are all equal.

The perimeter is the sum of all the sides.

So, either 4 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 16 or 4 sides x 4 cm = 16 cm

A square has four sides, all equal in length. So, to find four sides, you take 4+4+4+4= 16 (or 4 x 4 = 16 in short).
