HP is recommended. 500 gig Hard Drive, 1 Gig RAM and a 3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo processor. This should be affordable enough with a DVD Optical drive.
You will need the big hard drive for your uses, trust me.
These computer specs can be found and/or upgraded to and above easily with HP at an affordable price.
Go HP Pavillion! (Not that I'm a diehard fan...)
To Nikko - You don't know much about computers or proper grammer. What is 'PENTIUM?'
A DEAD processor by Intel. It was awesome when it came out, I mean, but know Core 2 Duo and Penryn are the newest and best.
Get the info right and actually help others.
AMD is mainly for gaming computers/cheap ones. Moderate ones? Go with Intel. Even Extreme and Cheap ones, Intel is the best.

Really hope this helped.

HP, Dell, Acer those are a good brand of PC. They have lots of choices and price range from less than 600$ until more than 1200$.

Your monitor as big as you easily can see otherwise a lot mistaken words as check spelling. First concern is how many PENTIUM, the top market recently is AMD because much cheapest than PENTIUM, after that how many RAM, much higher much better. Finally, the brand because they support you as warranty period.

Go to a local computer shop and explain what you need. Won't cost much more than one bought from a shop and you know where to go if you ever need repairs.
