? I do not know but I am black and I have never really met another confident black woman let alone a confident woman from any race. Women are so full of emotions that we can never really have 100% confidence in ourselves. The ones that say they do are lying, it is just human nature to condemn ourselves and think that the other is better no matter what may come out of our mouths. Me being black and white, I am always less confident about myself when surrounded by other races because I think they think bad about me or judge me because I am black. Does that make sense? I don't know, just my thoughts. Being black, I believe that the black race seems to portray alot of unity and confidence on the outside but on the inside it is lacking. Black people are the most un united people that I have ever met. We are racist against eachother. Black women have dis liked me for years because my skin is lighter and my hair is thinner and curly. I have less confidence in myself because I do not look like black people should look like to black people and also because I am black because other races tend to automatically make assumptions about you because of your race. It's hard being black, we look like every thing does not bother us on the outside, when it is killing us on the inside. it is all a front.

The black women I know are no different from any other women. When you look good you feel confident and when you have a hangover and you look bad you feel less confident. Get it...........

Possibly, though 'confidence' is one word for what I perceive, there is another which is shared by many others, 'arrogance,' boundaried by a defencive indifference.

And, I am NOT saying this of all black / brown women, incidentally.

'Style' is merely a form of camouflage, to protect and defend the wearer from perceived threats, whilst attempting to attract a mating partner at the same time.

It's a neat n tricky line to walk.

The black women I know are confident but I think that's regardless of skin colour. However I do think there's something different that gives them more beautiful skin, especially middle aged ladies, than their white counter parts, they age far more subtley.
