The ones who send the e-mail asking for help to transfer $25MM out of Ethiopia and splitting the profits or the schmucks who take them up on the offer (and then get taken)?

I argue that this is simply a modern day example of the Darwinian Theory. After all, if you are willing to illegally help to transfer money out of some poor African country, you deserve to be robbed, not for being greedy, but for being dumb? What do you folks think...am I being too harsh?

And BTW, who are these people who respond to the e-mails and how can I get some of their money??

Youre question is half mean and half naive.

Many of those that respond are mentally infirm in some way. I remember spending 2 hours listening to my dad and step mom when they were both well into their 80s try to puzzle out what a notice from their car insurance company meant.

There are stories in the news all the time about elderly of mentally retarded people being bilked. I hope you don't really want some of their money, do you?

There is also the contingent of sleaze balls that are amoral and just plain stupid but I really think (hope) they are the minority.

You aren't being to harsh, it's just a monetary form of natural selection, lol.
If you happen to find anyone who wishes to part with their money, lead me in the right direction, I have slacked a bit on my IRA so far this year. ;)

The predators are most certainly worse than the victims. There is no malice in the victims. There is a great deal of malice in the predators.
