Call your gynecologist, and see if she/he can see you today or tomorrow. The levels and balance of hormones in BCP vary from type to type, and yours obviously needs to be a little stonger. The pill won't prevent a period from coming if your hormonal level is higher than the pills, it isn't being over-ridden by the pill. If the pain is that severe it could be due to the cysts on your ovaries. If the pain is unbearable, and the doctor can't see you today, then you might need to go to the ER. Try to speak with your doctor first, though, and see what advice you get there. The ER will mean a very long wait, as you aren't in danger of losing your life, so you'd have a long time sitting in pain before you are seen. In the meantime, try a heating pad or hot soak and some Motrin to help take the edge off.

hi there, first of all you should see if your pills are too strong for you or too weak. The pill is a very effective way of controlling your periods. Also look at your diet as well. Are you drinking enough water? It helps flush your system personally I do not know anybody who drinks 8 glasses a day! The normal for starting your pill after you have your reg, cycle. I know most girls would kill only having a period once or twice every 5-8 months including myself! Another idea is going on some websites and find out about exercise and controlling cramps as well. Yes the pill normally does prevent you from getting your period don;t forget it takes at least a month before the pill works properly. Is there a clinic you can phone and speak to a reg. nurse? good luck and hang in there.

well dear, any pill can affect your period if u start it 3 days before period, but if your period was due and u started tking pill it won't affect your body anymore. i don't know whether u should continue taking pill or u should stop and start after period is over. and i didn't even know that such young girls with not steady period can be put on birth control. anyway, if u re in pain take ibuprofen, it helps a lot and call your doctor and ask this question and also i hope your mother knows what is going on, i think she is the best person who can help u right now

ps. and yes, anything happening in your ovaries or on them can affect your period cos they re the ones which re producing the egg and hormones so yes, your problem is because of assets on ovaries

Maybe talk to your mother? Call your doctor tomorrow? If you started your birth control already (when you were supposed to as indicated in the directions) and after taking it for a week, you got your period then you may have to stop and start with a new pack and use it correctly by starting the new pack after your period or whenever it says to. If you want to, call this number: 1-800-230-CARE (2273). The nurse can actually tell you if it is serious enough to go to the ER. Good luck!

Since you are in so much pain, I think you should go tell your mom right away what's going on. Definitely go to the ER if you are running a fever, if the bleeding is excessive (soaking more than one pad per hour), or if you feel faint/dizzy.

If you don't go to the ER tonight, please call your doctor first thing in the morning.

First, you are too young to be having sex.
Second, you should not go on birth control because it can hurt you in so many ways its not funny (Experience from friends)

and last, go tell your mom and go to the doctor!
AND no more sex!!!

i would go back to the doctor and ask her if it's ok if you started the pill today. tell her that you've been in tons of pain. if you can't talk to a doctor, maybe you could at least talk to a registered nurse.
