Obviously. India is playing a very dangerous game getting in bed with the United States though. China will always be stronger and India needs to realize this.

I certainly believe that India is doing very well economically. But it isn't wise to politically challenge China, don't even think about military.
I would say that India is economically highly influencial, the recent $12 Billion purchase of a European steel manufacturer by TATA proved that.
But considering China's economic success and political influence, I would say that China would be more powerful than India. China recently shot down a sattelite in space, now that was a highly significant event. Only countries like the US and Russia could pull off something like, although the Russians are not very good at it; mainly the US.
I would say that China would be formidable, just don't unnessarily challenge China.
India should enjoy its economic success and prosperity.

I think it could very well happen. India's relationship, being tech support for the USA, has spurred growth there.
However the size of that country limits its growth.
With the economic prosperty from it... its only natural that as many citizens have the opportunity to work for an USA company the local jobs there will have a harder time finding workers.
Then they need to offer incentive for workers to work for them. Thats inflation. So then wages rise in India. Well then perhaps when contractors with employees in India ask for more money... perhaps the USA turns to china for such work? or perhaps India hires Chinese??
Hard to say but those are some possible scenarios.
You know if Mexicans would learn english... they could be doing that kinda work instead of picking lettuce.

I do hope India will be able to balance China's supremacy to an extent atleast/. A world dominated by the ruthless chinese, who will stop at nothing to get what they want will be frightening. India with its history of tolerance and morals would be a good counter balance.
Besides, who wants a world full of regimented, controlled, puppets? That is exactly what the chinese govt is turning its people into. They have no freedom to be individuals at all there!

Never. We must get encouraged by our neighbours growth and continue to grow. I think that China supremacy may instigate a healthy competition in this region.

Well, China is modernizing it's armed forces, industrializing fast and will very soon be unable to feed it's own population.
It doesn't take too much imagination to realize what they might do.
