anyone gotten pregnant? anyone like it? is it good? do you feel it??

Hi,
I got the Mirena IUD in September of last year and I absolutely love it. There's no worrying about forgetting.. I havne't had any problems whatsoever with it.. I haven't gotten pregnant on it. I don't feel it at all.

I loved it, especially because once it's in, I could forget about it. There was maybe a handful of times in the five years I've used it that my husband felt it during sex, but either your doctor can trim the strings shorter if they're too long or with me, they would curl up due to sex or putting tampons in anyway. I got pregnant with it, which can be dangerous. It's bad to leave it in, but there's a chance of miscarriage to remove it. Luckily I'm still pregnant (12 1/2 weeks). If you get it, I'd recommend not waiting the full five years before changing it. I found out I was pregnant a month before it was supposed to be changed. The doctor said the hormones probably got to be too low a level to prevent pregnancy. I'm actually going to use it again after the birth, but my husband's offered to get a vasectomy, so we'll be doubly protected.

Two of my friends have the Mirena in and they both recomend it. They said it is great and no you can't feel it at all.
They have had it for over 12 months and no problems yet.
