I get freaked out when I'm in the shower, and im washing my hair. It's pretty lame, I know, but nonetheless, there I am, getting freaked out every time i have to close my eyes in the shower.

lol. Yeah. I'm just scared someone or something is in my apartment. I'm a completely rationally thinking adult, and perhaps this is just the movies getting me, I dont know. I should pray more? Joke. The one poster put down how i do actiually deal with it. If someone is going to get me, it doesnt matter if I can see them or not.

Yeah I'm the exact same way, I know how you feel. I hate closing my eyes in the shower because for some reason I get really paranoid that for the brief time when I close my eyes, a murderer is going to come in the bathroom and stab me or something. I know it's really not logical or anything but I can't help it! I guess it just has to do with the state of vulnerability that we're in and we react differently to certain things than we normally would.

I have a fear of the dark and someone being behind a door, wall, curtain, or window. So yes. I get scared. I can't close my eyes. But, when I have to, yes I get freaked out to. Sometimes even at the rate of getting soap in my eyes, I have to rush and open them. Yes, I know.. I'm lame to. -sigh- But, it's just something you're going to have to work through. I know how you feel. (:

haha
i am sometimes freaked by that too

i think it's just that we think of scary movies with bathroom/shower scences
i really love to watch scary movies but only ones with out
bathroom/shower scences..

i remember them for years and yearss.

sometimes i just sing like 500 songs to keep my mind off all the thinking of what's going to happen to me if i take a shower..

I actually used to but that was because I lived with my abusive (ex) husband and I never knew when he was going to attack. It took me a while to get over it (I have been away from him for 10 wonderful years now) but I am fine now. Is there something going on that is making you like this.......or maybe too many horror films :)

Do you think that maybe in a previous life, you may have died by a accident in a shower or drown in water? May be why you have a unknown fear or uneasiness of showering. Just a thought. <(o . o)>

I don't get scared, although sometimes I get dizzy. Luckily I have shaved all my hair off now so it doesn't take much to wash it.
