First of all, a black man would have to be elected President in the United States, before anything can happen to them. I don't foresee a black man being elected until at least the generation that now votes is gone (60+). We have to wait for the generation that lived before the civil rights movement to stop voting. Then, since many US presidents have had attempts on their lives, by their own citizens, I'd say that any US president's safety was at serious risk.

Hopefully, I think the US would have learned from history of what happened to this country after President Kennedy was assassinated, followed by Martin Luther King, then Robert Kennedy. Everything went down hill from there. More than 200 cities in the US either burned, had riots or demonstrations. I'm an optimist that if either Condie Rice or Barack Obama, or any other African American was elected that cooler heads would prevail. I don't think they would be assassinated. I'd say the odds would be 10% only because there are some racist lunatics lurking behind in the alleys.

Tell Your Brother that statistically the odds are better than average that there would be, at the very least, some form of attempt made on the incumbents life.

Gee, I don't know. Help me out here, what percentage would you say? Come on, give me odds, place your bets ladies and gentlemen. Did someone call me a gentleman? It's a lie. I'll sue, I'll Bettie, I'll Bette won't. But, what do I know, I'm new here.

I think the world is ready for a change. Why would anyone want to assassinate someone for their race. Now, if they do some stupid things, assassination is a possibility, but it wouldn't make any different in race.
