I'm not sure what sort of ceiling it is... but you may need to kill any existing mold by wiping it down with bleach & water, then give it a coat of "Killz" paint (a primer containing a fungicide/mold stopper). Beyond that, you may want to keep your shower curtian open for awhile after a shower, to allow the area more ventilation. Good luck.

You should leave the door and shower curtain or door open when not occupied so that the moisture can dry up. If you can leave the bathroom door open while bathing that would be even better, maybe even place a fan at the door, blowing out of the bathroom. You may consider installing a vent fan. Along with that to clean the mold that is already there, you can use a product called Xtreme Cleen it is a natural, non-toxic remedy. You can find it at www.guaranteed-scabies-cure.com/index.htm Hope it helps !

You need to install an exhaust fan to vent out the humidity first. Then clean the ceiling and run the bath fan during baths, showers etc.

I fought the problem for 2 years, finally cut a hole in the wall and installed a fan. That did the job.
