I put on some lights for my computer and after about a month it stated to smoke. I have a dell with win xp and tryed to restart but that didn't help at all.

It is possible that the lights are drawing too much current and are burning out some part probably your power supply. If that is the case remove the lights or get a higher rated power supply or get lights that don't draw as much current.

Just a wild guess...there is dust inside of the computer, and it might be clogging up the fan.

I take my computer apart about once a year, and clean out the dust.

If not this, then some electical problem might be the cause for this.

Not restarting suggests a serious problem. Hope it's under warranty.

Either the patch or the new gum. The take that gum crap and spread it around all the connectors inside the machine. Smear that crap all over the MoBo. It should work for a little bit, then you seriously need to get a life.

It's a dell to start with . What's smoking? Do you have everything plugged into wall???
