Nope. I've never been asked to do that. And if a guy knows what's good for him, he never will. LOL

Yeah, I sure did. Ex had this "thing" about my hair. I had talked about getting it cut and he informed me I was not. Well, it was my hair, and I could do with it what I wanted to so I got a haircut. I would have to hold my hair up whenever I sat down since it was long enought to touch the top of the pockets on my jeans. I cut it above my ears. He was not impressed at all. After I did it, I regreted it, but would have never given him the satisfaction of knowing that I did.

Why must a change of appearance violate your sense of self? I'd say that if a change doesn't feel phony and doesn't require a significant investment, what's wrong with it?
Have I done it? Nah, I'm hopeless.

I've changed my hair color quite a few times when I was in my teens.
Now, I could care less. My husband wants my hair back blonde, but I am choosing to keep my hair brown.

I don't think you should change your appearance for someone else, even someone you love. You should always express yourself in the way you appear, the way you dress and adorn yourself or not.

Yes they are supposed to love you for who you are! I don't change for anybody. Within reason.
