Make the basic story part of the boy's dream, so that when he wakes up the next day he takes the time to "discover" a person at school that he has overlooked until now, who turns out to eventually becomen his best friend. The moral could be always look to see whats under the surface you never know what you might find. Or it could be worked around as well to where someone he has had no use for saves him in some way in the future. All kinds of options here. Good luck and happy writing. let me know how it turns out. :)

Ok first of all an underwater city was atlantis not Lochness which is a mythical sea creature. Love the idea about it was jsut a dream and he wakes up that way he can realize what he has is good adn learn to apprecitate it. He sould suffer trials in this underwater city and be happy to wake up.

Figure out what the important conflicts in your story are, and how they affect the relationships of the characters, and the main character's process of self-discovery. Make the reader want whatever the main character wants. Make the main character learn from his experiences. What does the main character have to do to succeed, and why is it exciting? Good luck!

Have a natural disaster claim the city or just threaten it... overcome the problem. Good luck!
