Yeah, go buy a soccer ball (if you don't have one) and really work on your touch on the ball. If you don't know what this is, it is basically what it sounds. One of the most important elements of soccer (and one of the most overlooked) is the way a play touches the soccer ball with their foot. What I would suggest is running with the ball while trying to keep it as close to you as possible. If you can get a friend to help you, have them kick/pass the ball to you, and work on trapping the ball without it getting too far away from you. Outside of those things, clearly running and passing are important things. Its a harder sport to learn how to play (play well at least) then most people guess, but work hard and stay conditioned and it should be fine.

It's hard to explain here but maybe you can go on youtube and look it up there. You might want to start with knowing which part of your foot is the most effective to use for where you want the ball to go. You can use your the inside and outside of your foot, the tip and such. And it also depends on what angle you make contact with the ball. Perhaps a shot that need to go farther would need you to go under the ball for a little bit to make sure it gets a little air. : D

well runing fast and have concentration on the ball and your moves helpes alot. Here is some tips to how you can shoot the ball:
1.put the leg that you don't hit the ball with it, strongly near the ball.
2.since your body touch the ball it must be on it.
3.then shoot the ball with the harder part af your foot
(try to hit the undermentioned part of the ball)
