Each pound costs $2.10. We know this because $6.30 divided by 3 is $2.10. So to find how much 2 pounds will cost, multiply $2.10 by 2, which is $4.20.

I discovered Rancho Gordo beans about five years ago at my local Farmers' Market (I live in Napa, CA). I tried a bag o'beans, and was very impressed with the quality of the beans (sorting), the freshness and glossiness of the dried beans (as I sorted), the cook time (less than beans from the store), and then - oh my, the texture of the cooked beans, the aroma as they cooked, the FLAVOR! of the finished product. I have tried most of the varieties Steve Sando offers at RG, they are all superb. My favorite bean is the lima bean; I cooked a pot of Christmas Limas with a ham hock and could not believe how good it was. The flavor and aroma were so multidimensional, and the beans kept their shape beautifully. Plus, locally grown here in the US (Napa!), OR, imported from Mexico where they stand much less chance of GMO contamination. Steve also supports the xoxo project, protecting heirloom beans from eradication. RG beans are good on many many levels!

3= 6.30, 2=x, thus, 2x 6.30 divided by 3 = x x=4.20
two thirds equals X divided by 6.30.
