I put another headshot of myself that I took on my Yahoo 360. It's obviously not professional, I know. Is this one okay? (I'm a student. I am mainly a musician-a soprano- but I've done some theatre work as well.)

In my opinion . . . I think it is fine.
I have taken my own headshot and used it for years.
This was the one that I used when I got my part in Legally Blonde 2.

However now that I am doing more and more profesional work. I want to make sure that my headshots are up to par.

theatrical headshots usually have plain backgrounds (but don't use white, it will wash you out) The camera needs to be back farther, it looks like you're holding it and you do not want that impression. The picture should show from about the middle of your torso up.

I would also use a more neutral expression. Your arched eyebrow makes you seem like a comical actress.

Other than those you're very pretty and your skin tone is fab! Your outfit works well. With a little bit of tweaking, I think you'll have a very nice headshot.

Your use of black and white is a plus, as is the one tone top you are wearing. The only thing I would recommend is a plain background. Directors are not big fans of "business" or "scenery" behind actors and actresses in their headshots. Find a nice plain color backdrop, or crop a bit closer to bring the focus solely on your lovely face.
