How can I get a response from Symantec about my anti-virus program I purchased. It has been charged to my credit card, and I can't get any response from them. I received a confermation of my order, but when I try to check my order status it says can't locate order. I hate to think that a company like Norton would use my credit card without getting my product to me. On the confermation, it said it would be shipped to my address, that has been over a week ago. I called my credit card company and it has been charged to my account. What can I do?

I hope you kept the confirmation of your order. The order number should be on it.

Can't you e-mail customer service and give the order number? In fact, if you didn't delete the confirming e-mail you could "reply" so Symantec would have all the necessary information to trace your package.

Our mail these past couple weeks has been like the pony express and I don't think these things are mailed out first class. Symantec is pretty good to deal with.

Symantec is called 'the black hole' because they buy up good programs to remove competition and then nothing good comes out.
If you received a confirmation of your order it should have a tracking number on it and it is up to Symantec to trace it and get it to you.
I am talking from experience as it happened to me.
But don't let the credit card company off the hook. They have a responsibility also. Just because it has been charged to your account does not mean you should pay it. I go to the company or bank and tell them I don't pay for goods I don't receive and tell them they can whistle Dixie. It is amazing how fast they move once they realize that you are serious. And here is a question which has nothing to do with me really but I do wonder why you pay for an anyi-virus program when there are several for free such as AVG and Micro Trend who will scan your computer on the spot for free.
Good luck.
