I am not an early morning person at all. Currently my day shifts are 10:30am - 6:00pm, and nights are 5pm - 11pm so I love either one.

Night shift...more incentive (extra pay). I'm also kind of a night owl anyway.

In the Navy I was on 5 & 10 watch rotation (5 hrs on, 10 hrs off) so I had to be able to work at any time of the day, and your time off sometimes involved maintenance, training, drills, eating & sleeping, many a time I was up 18-24 hrs at a time or more.

Since I got out in 1989 I've worked day shift maybe a total of 1 yr 2 months out of 18 years, the rest has been overnight or evening shift.

Absolutely night shift! Less chaotic, no admin types to deal with, just a generally freer atmosphere. I stay on a night shift schedule when I'm not working, too. I've done this for 4 years; I wouldn't know how to work/be awake during the day anymore.

I definitely prefer the day shift at work! I worked the night shift a couple of years ago at my old job and I couldn't stay awake all night!

Swing shift. I loved it; I am a night owl so I am just waking up at about 8 or 9 p.m. I worked 5 to 3 a.m. for years and it was perfect for me. Sleep in, run errands, etc., take a nap and then go in to work.

I rather the day shift...I work 3rd (been doing it for 9 years) and I still can't sleep during the day. I only get about 3 or 4 hours sleep a day. (if you piece it together)
