This is all a matter of opinion.lLets go back to the good old days of rote learning.Howls of protest.We learnt our spelling and timetables by rote system.My 12 year old daughter learnt her timetables by rote and she knows them off by heart with grateful thanks to an old-fashioned teacher.There are far too many ideas put in place by so called educators. Sure you can still make education fun and interesting..Today kids have to write as they see the wordsthat is when they are younger.I often picked up the mistakes in her writing.Mistakes were rarely corrected as this was the childs own original work.You call that a good learrning system?Technology comes into this as well.
