It is illegal statuitary rape (spelling?), but the guy can only be charged or arrested if the parents press charges.

If you are 16 or 17 years old, it is better that you listen to 'mom'. The problem is that at this age one does not have much control on the emotions, feelings and instincts and one can easily be exploited by a person of age 21 or higher.

The simple fact is that a person aged 21 shall have experienced certain things which a person aged 16 or 17 shall have not so far.

And remember it does not mean that a girl aged 16 or 17 shall have this kind of problem with the guy aged 21; it is true other way round as well.

THE CONCLUSION IS THAT ANY TEENAGER HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH AN ELDERLY PERSON MUST BE VERY CAREFUL & CAUTIOUS. The society is growing complex day by day and you must be knowing a lot of incidents happenning around us where teenager girls have been sexually exploited by cmparatively elder guys, including close relatives & friends. There may be even cases where the guys were also exploited in the same manner.

Otherwise, an age difference of 5-7 years is not much of a problem.

Hope you understand.

My husband and I have nearly a decade's worth of years between our ages. That said, I was living on my own, working and a junior in college at age 18. So, the age difference was truly blurred, plus, I had reached the age of majority.

Under the age of 18 the law, and everyone else, should consider you too young to make that call--if, and only if, you are still living under the supervision of an adult guardian and lack the ability/means of supporting yourself. Emancipated minors are an OBVIOUS exception to the rule.

Frankly, what, besides sex, would a man who is free, and age 21 (or over) want to do with a 16 year old/not emancipated/not college-educated high school girl? Most 16 year old high school girls don't have much of a clue of who they are or where they are going. Not only that, they have a curfew and can't legally participate in anything (including rock climbing or going to an R rated movie) without an adult to sign a waiver. What on EARTH would they have in common? I can't think of anything, frankly, other than sex. Which, for crying out loud, they are JAIL BAIT, wait the two years you ***** freak and/or find someone your own age (aka 18+ adults) to have a *real* relationship with.

Yes, *shock* some moms don't want their immature, non-adult daughters dating older men--go figure! I wonder why?

I think what you meant to say was:

**************************
Girls usually date older guys because older guys are more mature and more experienced, and because girls want to be pleased sexually and emotionally.

Is that statement really true? Does that mean that all girls just think about sex? If a girl dates an older guy, like for example, a 16 year-old going out with a 21 year-old, is that OK? Doesn't that constitute a violation of child abuse laws?
**************************

I believe this is what you were trying to ask. Because your communication skills (and or typing skills) are so poor, I may have distorted your meaning.

In answer to your question: No, I don't think girls who date older guys are looking for better sex. The reason girls date older guys, is that the girl is looking for stability in the relationship; something a 16 year-old rarely supplies. And if a 16 year-old girl goes out with a 21 year-old guy, they have not broken any statutory rape laws unless they have sex together.

Hope that answers your question. Please go and find someone who can teach you how to write normally.

I don't think that you can really understand that until it happens to you. If you were really in love with a guy I am pretty sure you would do anything for him. I fell for my guy and I was only 17 and he was 26. My parents did not like it but they came around. They just wanted me to be happy. It does break laws but sometimes it is just an overwhelming feeling to experience something so strong. I do not regret and my parents don't regret it either. They like him and he supports me in everything that I want to do. He is there when I need that extra push. It is not for the sex at all. It has been quite sometime and I still have not had sex with him. We love each other and that is all that matters. I love him for the person he is and how he makes me feel.

Actually, I know more women that date younger men. My fiance is 4 months younger than me. His sisters husband is 4 years younger than her. And his sisters husbands brothers wife is 12 years older than him! I like dating younger guys, it has nothing to do with sex though, except younger guys have a higher sex drive. I think that maturity has to do with the environment that you were raised in. I have met some pretty immature old people, and you can trace it all back to their environment. If people are raised around a multitude of races, economic diversities, cultures, political and social views, and societal views then you will produce a more mature person. But if you are raised around a very close minded society, then you will also be closed minded unless you find a way to break out of that web and break all the social barriers of that enviornment. It is just my opinion. Have a good night!

i am 25 and my fiance is 45...he is wonderful and yeah the sex is great but that is not the only reason i love him he is mature and settled into a lifestyle that i am happy to be living.....he is also excellent with his, mine and our children......Because i am also a mom no i would not let my 16 year old date a 21 year old man.....no way in hell when she is 18 she can do as she pleases and i believe that once you reach a certain maturity level which all people reach at different times that age is just a number.

Age does not matter when you date it is the love and the knowledge of each other intimately that is important. Sex is only secondary but at your age you may consider it to be the most important.Only when you have grown up you will understand what I am talking about . but give my comment a thought.
