You know what to do. Did you have a "gut" removed. Your gut is saying, hey if he cant get things going before I quit, then why would he when I quit. because he needs YOU to do all the work right? ya, gotta love the passion! I am cynical, so excuse that. Of course you dont quit unless you have a good 6 months of reserves. I am in small business, and it is tough. I am 200% commission. I have two small businesses, you eat what you kill. Right now, you have income, you dont need to hold his hand while he does the ground work. If he cant do it with out you, he cant do it.
He needs to step up to the plate and perform, or go out back and clean the garage and let you make money.

One girl to another.
By the way, my bf and I are in business together, and its tough. Lots of arguing and discussion, but we both work about 40-50 hours a week on it, and during our high season, we are talking 70 hours easy. It is a home based business also.

In response to your question . . .

Firstly, is your small business increasing in profits or declining?

When visioning your small business do you see it becoming more protifable, in the near future?

If you have exhausted all possiblities of making it successful
then consider holding on to your business and use the money to reinvest into something else. Something that stands a good chance of making a profit soon.

If I am wrong and you are doing well with the business, why should have to shut it down. Especially, if this is something you truly love to do.

If you husband haven't done all the necessary research--business, financial, business structure, consulting with a business attorney and CPA., then stick to what you are doing a little while longer. He needs to prepare more and get the ball rolling. You should perhaps research his future business so that you want walk into a blind situation.

WARNING! Its only my opinion but in many cases business and love should not be comingled, expecially if the business is high risk. Be very concern with your good credit also.

On the hand, consider this and see what your husband has to say about it. This will be additional money that you both can make over the Internet.

My question now pertains to this . . .

Do you and your husband trust eBay, Google, MSN and Yahoo!?

If I can get a yes, then consider something that perhaps could be related to your field--day care (child or adult). Or any field.

More and more men and women today (especially woman now) are becoming Internet marketer because everything is so much easier now. And you can build great wealth. But it still requires some learning.

Did you know that eBay has 25,000,000 products for you to sell and earn a 65% affiliate commssion?

Any product you want to sell whether its in your current field or not. For instance, if you're running a child day care, you could consider selling baby carriages and other related products online/offline with your own store. When someone buys the product you are selling eBay pays you.

Now here is the icing on the cake. There is new software tool for newbies that lets you create an eBay Niche store automatically within minutes. Its better than eBays toolkit. This tool lowers the learning curve, ensures success working with eBay, and it was designed by an experienced Internet affiliate marketer. But that's now all!

You can go to my blog to learn more. Keep an open mind. There is plenty of content there which also includes ebook to help newbies succeed. You can operate your store in your own spare time, even while working. My blog will also direct you to the company that sells the tools, and you can use their demo. You can actually create your own mock eBay store and see how easy it really is. The tool cost $79.00. So go have a look. Perhaps this can help your husband get the additional cash to start his business. At the same time, your store will continue making money if his business folds or yours.

Take Care!

Haha. Listen carefully. Starting a business is easy. Just throw everything else in your life away or channel it into the business. But, what if you dont know how to "RUN" a business. You are screwed. The only good way to start a business is with a business plan and risk management plan. If you dont know how to get into business without "getting in deep" then you dont know how to run one either. You better get some more advice from S.C.O.R.E. or a similar free business incubator in your area. Also would help to speak to an accountant.

Look him in the eyes and calmly say .Are you out of your freaking mind ???

No really say to him I will be more than happy to work with you as soon as our new business will support us. At that time I will [sell ] give up or quit what we are now doing.
I will help you as much as possible to get started .

personally it sounds like he it a bit lazy or so insecure that he wants you to do all the leg work to set up His new business.
Plus did he ever give any thought as how bad it will look to any loan officer .That he is expected to give out a large sum of money to two unemployed newbies in a new business venture { NOT A WISE MOVE }

Make a compromise with him that once his business is generating enough to be able to afford you stoping your.daycare
and all the tax breaks etc. that gives you. Then you'll stop It takes both of you to make anything work if you don't support him he will fail but he also needs to support your need to feel safe about going ahead with this.Perhaps he could hire help and you guys could pay them less in exchange for daycare. While there working for you. GOOD LUCK.
