Saddam Hussein refused to obey directives issued by the United nations allowing an independent inspector to check for WMDs. He chose not only to disobey, but belittled their (UN's) ability to make him obey.

US went in to force compliance w those directives. He fled, was later captured & brought to trial for past crimes by the people of IRAQ.

Was it right? I'm sure Saddam was not in agreement!!
