Which cell phone service is best all around in the United States Why?

It's all about where you live. Cingular, the New at&t, has the biggest network, but if you don't get service, forget about it! Check with people in your area.

I have Tracfone, it will piggyback on everyone else's network, so it has about 99% coverage of the US. The only place I didn't have coverage was Somerset KY. Why I don't know.

The cost for service for a year (plus 250 units) is less than $100 ($92 from Sam's Club). If you don't have the phone genetically attached to your ear (that means if you don't use the phone much) like me, it works out great.

The tech support is in Mexico I think (Tracfone is part of America Movil, "Latin America's largest telecommunications company") but they do alright, better than some companies.

I choose Verizon, because it's the best in my area (East TN), but as for nationwide, I couldn't even begin to guess.

i use cingular and ive got service almost anywhere i go. (except my house sometimes >O haha)
