I am 10 weeks pregnant, and today I have been on edge - "bitchy" - and feel yucks. Just exactly (particularly the edginess) how I feel on my period. I just realized that if I weren't pregnant - that I would be on my period this week. So, my question is: does your body go through montly period-like symptoms when pregnant?

Not really monthly... But you do experience mood swings...

I don't think they are monthly per say as in a regular schedule, but I know that being pregnant is like 9 months of PMS. Last week I was at the store and feeling icky and felt slight crampy and thought to myself.. "ugh I'm getting my period"... then I realized I'm pregnant..lol. I am 23 weeks and feel PMS like symptoms often. Have fun :-p

Oh yes, and the symptoms are usually MUCH worse than PMS. Don't worry, everything you are experiencing is normal. I was extrememly bitchy up until just recently (23 weeks along) and I'm tired all the time too.

I'm an OBGYN nurse...NO! Not possible...you'll find yourself being bitchy, sad, mad, glad, giddy, pissed, all those things almost every few days starting any time now. Ususally after the 12th week women get the hormones raging. But no, it's not PMS it's just a coincidence that it happened at the same time! But good thinking!

Sweetie.. your body is, right now, a hormone factory on overload. You're tired, you're feeling icky, and your body is loaded with more hormones than you can imagine. Of COURSE you feel bitchy..

That's no excuse, though, to actually BE bitchy...

Good look!

yes u r having changes but definitly theyr not similar to period.
but let me put it this way...
ur normal hormones are in thier highest level during pregnancy..
the pains and the discharges r because of the enlargment of the uterus and effect of estrogen on ur body...
don't worry...there won't be any period for like 10 or even 12 months....lol

Just be glad it's not your whole pregnancy, My husband said he can't wait for this pregnancy to be over because I have been so bitchy. It's ok though just hormones. Good Luck!

When you are pregnant your hormones go nuts. But you are the one to control your emotions and dont let it get out of hand.

it's not pms, it's pregnancy, it's a rollercoaster ride, don't worry it will pass, but it will be back too, it's all worth it, sorry you are feeling badly, making a human being is hard work,
