i hope my history teacher doesn't see this

if my memory serves me right (i doubt it of course), major agreement between the two filipinos in subject "is the equality among pure filipinos, the mestizos and the spaniards."

while ibarra emphasizes on full independence, elias on the other hand settles for spanish citizenship of which ibarra despises and treat as mediocre.

the two gentlemen's approach to freedom is also on oppsite perspectives.
elias finds it necessary to invoke a revolution in arms while ibarra pursues independence by law or maybe natural law.

i try to keep it simple.

i hope that you could read the book thoroughly though, it heightens your comprehension.

enjoy the book !
