The whole season the Lakers never lost three games in a row. However when Lamar came back we did. I personally believe that he is a very talented player however he does not have very good court smarts and just piles through towards the basket, most of the time picking up the charge and the turnover. Lamar needs to have the smarts of Luke Walton, then he would be unstoppable. True, he makes a lot of rebound and he is tall however we have Bynum to do that for us now.

the laker record with Odom is much better than the record without him

lakers need a full roster as you are right Walton has missed a few games and Vlad can't replace him in the line-up

also Kobe's bogus suspension cost the lakers a game agaisnt NY

a healthy laker team is dangerous but they need everyone back from injury as Odom is still playing himself back into shape

No. Lakers record and defense were waay better when Odom's 100%. When Odom's healthy then Kobe can reduce his facilitator role and Odom can be Lakers primary defender on the perimeter or on the low post.

The problem is, right now he's one step slower. About the smarts of Luke Walton, Lamar Odom has more smarts than Walton if you watch earlier this season. They both were personally trained by Pippen anywayz...

I truly believe the Lakers are a better team With Lamar Odom. He gives them a different player who can create his own shots. I believe that he is the Pippen to Kobe's Jordan. I think thats what they are trying to do with him. He is a difficult player to guard because of his height and shooting ability. The only beef i have with him is his passing. He sometimes lacks vision.

He was only 4-13 tonight which isnt good but he is a solid defender. He had 18 rebounds tonight so i dont think we could do as well without him. Luke walton's fg% is barely higher than odoms

they will need him in the playoffs for sure. odom is their best rebounder and one of their better defensive players. odom is very versatile and can spread the D out because he can hit 3s. sure they may lose 3 regular season games with him in but remember he just came back from surgery and it takes time to get that chemistry and stamina back.
besides bynum is just a kid who is still very raw and learning. odom is a true vet who knows the game.

No. Odom substitute into incredibly underrated for LAL. They gained titles and went to the finals with Odom/Gasol as starters not Bynum. Fishers adventure and stable hand is often mandatory, yet classes could initiate over him.

LAKERS JUST HAVE ALOT OF ADJUSTING THEY HAVE TO DO THEY CANT GET IN THE SWING OF IT BUT THEY PLAY BETTER WITH LAMAR BUT THEY NEED EVERYONE HEALTHY AT THE SAME TIME AND NEED TO GET IN THE GROOVE AND STAY THERE NOT GO FROM DOMINATING BETTER TEAMS 2 GAMES IN A ROW THEN LOSING TO 2 POOR TEAMS IN A ROW. BUT THEY ARE VERY TALENTED WITH THERE GUYS NOW IF THEY JUST GET HEALTHY AND STAY THAT WAY

Lakers need him. Especially in the playoffs. His experience counts the most...and his amazing ball handling skills. I do think he has to assert himself more...now that Kobe's playing well and being generous.

They need Odom, they need his presence in the paint. They have a better record with him. The stats will show it.
