I don't believe you have to be a confident person to be successful. Many are a behind the scenes, rather not be noticed kind of a success...... but successful none the less. Being confident doesn't automatically mean you are good at what you do although it might help you move on to something better a little faster .Also, I think it depends on what you perceive to be success. If it's about the amount of money you make you may never come close. If it's about accomplishing a goal , any goal you set out to achieve and you do it then you are successful. Confidence is in your perception of yourself and what you do. If you strive to become a good dishwasher and you put your effort into making sure those dishes sparkle then you feel good about what you've accomplished and build confidence in yourself.Strive to do the things you know are good and right for you and you will always be a success!!! : )

You have to have a plan of action to build confidence. Set small goals first and do what is required to achieve them. Increase your goals to a grander scale take note of each accomplishment along the way. Face the things you are afraid of. Do good deeds.
Allow others to rely on you.

The first thing you need to do is understand is that basically we are all idiots. We pretend to know about life and so called facts that actually add up to nothing. You are the master of your universe. You have the ability to pretend to be whoever you want to be. Anyone who you think is someone is just faking it. Now you know the secret of the universe. Go forward and pretend to be someone with confidence.

It all starts in your mind. You build confidence by assuring yourself first, and then having other people help you out.

Yes, you must confident to be successfull, but that doesn't mean that you have to be super confident. It starts in the smallest bit. And as you become more successfull you become more confident, thus allowing you to become for successfull. :)
