I was just wondering if I can make some chicken broth for him, a few of my friends do it, but I wasn't so sure.

I'd say 6 months is a good age! My daughter had her first taste of chicken noodle soup broth around this age and loved it.

I'd be very careful about doing that. Babies that young still need a specific amount of nutrition, and chicken broth has very little nutrition, if any. It's pretty much just salt. You don't want to fill him up on something so he won't take his formula. An occasional taste would be ok, I suppose, although I don't see why you'd want him to have it. Stick to what your pediatrician tells you to do, at least for the first year. Then you can offer him new and different things.

I would say it's ok to let him taste it. . but u probably don't want to put it in a bottle or anything!! The sodium content is crazy in broth

Should be fine if given at tepid temperature with a baby spoon. Make sure not to burn their mouth and try the low sodium version. Too much salt is not good for your baby!

no, even low sodium would be to much for a baby. they should only be starting their first non breastmilk or formula feedings at that age, and those should start with rice cereal, then bland babyfoods: fruits and veggies.

you should have started your babies on baby food by now...and there should be no problem giving him som of the broth.....i would only do a little at first...see how him and his body takes to it....but I really see no problem in it......

I would have to say no because of all the salt in it.

I don't know why not... I'd buy the low-sodium type though...
