Why do people post insulting answers?

I don't get it. Are there that many trolls in this site?
I am tired of asking something and getting insulted for no good reason.

For example, I just posted a question about SERIAL KILLERS for entertainment, like which of them is worse. And I got insulted as hating people with mental illness. And guess what? I am mentally ill and so is my boyfreind. So that makes no sense.

I'm so tired of smart asses here :(

Who agrees?

Hopefully we all report them.

Young lady,I was a bit harsh - I am aware of that. I'm glad that you are open about you and your boyfriends conditions. I hope the best for both of you...but next time include that before you put out your question. Be aware "that your shits and giggle" question was far from shits and giggle - it was offensive and sends the message out there that people who are suffering from illness are creepy. I answered harsh so that when people read you question and decide that all people with mental illness are
creepy - they would read my answer and think twice about tormenting people who suffer "who may not be Ted Bundy" - they won't be excluded from jobs, social situations and more.

That the socially acceptable thing would to be encouraging to people with mental illness that it is okay and helping them get help.

Not oh your CREEPY.
