Turn everything off, including your DSL or Cable modem, router and computer. Make sure you disconnect power on the modem and router. After a couple of minutes, plug the network wire from the modem to the "Internet" port of your router. Plug in another network wire from one of the numbered ports on your router into your desktop network card.
If this doesn't work, try resetting your router.

hi, that could be a risk to do this, although i'm blind to any application that makes this an undemanding technique. optimistically somebody else can chime in with something. there's a handbook technique, yet for somebody who isn't pc savvy, this does not in basic terms be a project to setup, yet at last you've got some themes down the line and it could make troubleshooting confusing. In a nutshell, what you may desire to do is desperate your instantaneous community adapter on your laptop to broadcast in 'advert-hoc' mode so different computers can connect. you may then want to set the community adapter for the Verizon connection as 'shared' (i'm guessing you got a netbook or laptop with geared up-in Verizon instantaneous?) The own pc might then have the skill to work out the laptop and connect via ability of instantaneous to it, and since the Verizon connection is shared, it would have the skill to get admission to the internet. i factors you step-via-step training, yet i might desire to be attentive to what working equipment your laptop makes use of. EDIT: I basically remembered, Verizon has a clean gadget called a Mifi...a small instantaneous router. you need to cancel the provider on the adapter on your workstation, and then get a type of contraptions.

If you have a router, or hub, it may be prioritizing to the desktop first, then the laptop. Not sure how to change the settings though.

your laptop may have the same IP address as your computer. You could try changing/renewing the ip on your laptop.
