Yes and no, here are my reasons for each:
Yes: Western government and economy are pretty good things for India to start emulating, from what I've seen there's still rampant corruption and the economy is so-so. Socially, caste system still exists, either learn how to go by the caste system as was originally intended in the Vedas, or abolish it entirely. While the West has its own social hierarchy, it's not as rigid or prejudiced as the caste system is today.
No: While dating is fine in my eyes (to some degree, with parental consent, etc. etc.), I don't want to see India brought to its knees by rampant sexuality and immorality that seems pretty normal in the West. Western music is something that's best left for Westerners to do, stop putting English lyrics into Indian songs or making Indian songs more westernized, they're fine as is. The classical arts are dying out India because of this. The West also is very skeptical of religion, while that's fine, India is renowned as a spiritual nation. Question your faith, but don't kill it.
Hope this helps.

Adopting good things from others is not bad, but at the same time it is to be kept in mind that we have to protect our culture also. Indian culture is among worlds oldest cultures. It has been developed over centuries and is rich in many respects. Even nomadics and gupseys had their unique culture, thats why they are designated as Tribes to protect and preserve their cultural heritage. If western culture is meant only for vulgarity, nudity etc. than it should not adopted.

Actually it is quite simple, but I don't expect you to grasp it (not that you can't) just that you wont. the difference in Christ and the God of the bible in comparison to the examples you gave is that you say it''s an american thing for starters (it came from the east) not america and the bible is filled will prophecies that have been fulfilled. the Old testament speaks volumes about the coming messiah (Jesus) how he would be born, where he would be born, how he would suffer, on and on and it happened secular writings confirm this also (not just the bible) and the New testament is a record of the fulfillment of all the Old testament prophecies. and more. Plus if you take the words that Jesus said, no other prophet said or did anything close, So I sorry mr. Dawkins there is no mistake no possibility that there is any other conclusion ,, the God of the bible is the creator of all. Jesus is the way the truth and the life.

no, its not. but undoubtedly we have assimilated some of their culture, t shirts, food, education system, entertainment.... but there are layers of community that r even aping the social culture of the western world. this especially can be very damaging as the moral fiber of the community is the indicative of general well being. the western world has 70% rate of divorce n large numbers single parents. when the basic unit of family is disrupted how can the nation b a happy one? then u find high numbers of suicides, n ppl needing psycology help becoz of the indivudualistic nature of the ppl. so we should value our traditions n practise them proudly.

That is correct but somewhat, because we are suppose to be the richest cultured people in the whole world. We should try to take good things from the other cultures as anti dowry and others but but should be very restrictive in taking their other way of living style.
