Is anyone familiar with these? People claim,"I've got ten cards, all with a value of $x.xx or $xx.xx or $xxx.xx,I don't know which cards have what value on them,I will randome select an envelope with a card in it and send it to the highest bidder...etc." -Does this seem weird? Alot of them have perfect, high feedback, and other people have bought similar card auctions of theirs, but it seems like they'd be losing money based on the average high bid of these auctions? I mean, why would they do it and lose money, nobody would right? But if they ARE legit,I've been wanting to bid on one,has anyone done one of these? Thanks!

If it sounds too good to be true...

Buyer beware...

Listen to that inner voice of yours telling you "Does this seem weird?"....

Spend your money on what is REAL value, not perceived value.

This is definitely a scam. You will lose any money you will send these imbeciles and if they send you a card (which they probably won't) it will be worthless. This seems to be another form of the infamous Nigerian 419 scam and sounds exactly like one I am personally familiar with. Truthfully, I haven't ever bid on one of these, but a friend of mine has and it cost him a bundle. He received a box with a note that read "sucker...stupid white man." If anything ever sounds too good to be true, don't buy it. Hopefully, my friend's account helps you.

I have seen them and thought about bidding just for fun. It is legal but you take a risk. You may get $10 when you bid $50... if you are willing to take a possible loss then go for it and have fun. If you think you may take a loss badly then stay clear. It's a random thing so there's no way of knowing what you will recieve.

Sounds like an illegal lottery to me. Steer clear!
