I answered this before, and I will say this again. It was an accident....let the law handle it. i am sure that is bail is set she can make that and I believe that she will show up in court for it, and as to her feelings on the subject i have no idea. It is all about the press, for had it been you or I no one would be posting anything now would they?

Unfortunately, people tend to pay more attention when the person who commited the crime is famous. Especially, when the celebrity in question has such a wholesome image, like Brandy. I also think the family is in pain and by filing the lawsuit, feel as if they are making her pay for her crime. The lawsuit isn't so much about the money as it is about punishment. Even if the crash was an accident on her part, she did something negligent that resulted in another person's death. The fact that she didn't mean it doesn't change the facts. She killed somebody. Her admission of guilt and her apology will not be enough for the family of the woman who died, because it will not bring back their loved one. If I put myself in the family's shoes, I would probably be just as angry. If I lost my child as a result of someone else's carelessness I am not so sure I would be able to shrug it off as an accident. They can tell me they are sorry until they are blue in the face. They (hypothetically) robbed me of my son. I will never see him again. He is gone forever. Sorry wouldn't cut it if that were me. Also, I think it is a little unfair to say that you understand how the family feels because of the loss of your Aunt. I am sorry for the loss of your Aunt and itis always devastating to lose some one you love, but losing an Aunt isn'tthe same thing as losing a child. Her parents are the ones suing. Even though she was a 38 year old adult, losing your child is just as painful when they are 38 as when they are 5. Age makes no difference. I am a mother myself, and the daughter of parents who have lost a child, and my mother would be insulted at that comparison. I can tell you without a doubt that losing my Aunt would be less devastating than losing my son.

She isn't being judged harshly, she's being judged like the rest of us. A lot of the times, celebrities get off with a slap on the wrist while the rest of us would have rotted in jail. A classic case of this is look at Ted Kennedy. Him and his assisant were out drinking(he was driving) and he crashed the car into the water. He gets out, staggers home while she is stuck in the car and drowns. He comes back the next day and guess what he's still a senator. He never saw one day in jail. If that were you or me, then you know we'd be in prison for years. I think the case with Brandy is that the public has had enough of celebrities. And she did kill someone.

Because she's famous and has money! I'm not demeaning the fact that she killed a human being, but I think she's being targeted. Come on a $50 million dollar lawsuit a day or two after the woman was killed? Remember Rebecca Gayheart? She also killed someone with her vehicle, I think a young kid, by accident and I never heard of any million dollar lawsuit against her! She was the Nozema model and was on several movies and shows. Brandy took a life and should pay and be punished but how much is too much?

I don't know why she is being judged so harshly either. Yes, she should get the same punishment everyone else who would be in her situation would get (and no one else would be having to pay $50 million to the family... thats just bull right there in my opinion). But, I have seen a lot of posts with people "attacking" her (although she will never read them). I think people who aren't involved at all should just let the law handle it and mind their own business.

I haven't noticed her being judged any more harshly than any other celebrity who does something that is going to get them noticed by the national news/tabloids.
I guess that's the price of being famous, whatever you do is magnified outrageously by media. If you or I did it, no one would notice except for the people in our circle of friends, family, and neighbors. Brandy just travels in a much larger circle.

PEOPLE REACT IN DIFERENT WAYS. SOME PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS TAKEN CARE OF LEGALLY AND SOME PEOPLE OVER REACT. I AM SORRY FOR THE LOST OF THE GIRL, I'M NOT
SURE EXACTLY WHAT HAD HAPPENED BUT WHAT EVER
HAPPEN I KNOW THEY ALREADY SAID SHE WAS NOT DRUNK OR UNDER ANY DRUGS WHICH WAS A GOOD THING ON HER BEHALF. BECAUSE IF SHE WAS ON ANY
KIND OF SUBSTANCE THEN SHE SHOULD SPEND MORE
TIME IN PRISON. BUT SHE AGREED IT WAS HER FAULT AND
THAT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. TODAY I WAS COMING HOME
FROM THE DR.'S OFFICE AND THE SPEED LIMITE WAS
50 MPH AND THIS MAN WAS DRIVING SLOWER THEN EVERYONE ELSE, ANYWAYS THE CAR THAT WAS BEHIND
HIM DECIDED TO CHANGE LANES TO THE LEFT. THAT LEFT
ME BEHIND HIM, I CONTINUED THEN I DICIDED TO MOVE TO
THE LEFT LANE, AS I WAS PASSING HIM UP, I LOOKED AT
HIM KNOWTESTING THAT HE WAS LOOKING DOWN. SO
I STAY BY HIS SIDE FOR A FEW MILES THIS GUY WAS LOOKING DOWN AT WHO KNOW WHAT. ANYWAYS I NEEDED TO GET BACK INTO THE RIGHT LANE SO I GOT
BACK TO THE RIGHT LANE THEN I LOOKED IN THE REAR
VIEW MIRRIOR WHEN I KNOWTEST HIM CREEPING UP SLOWLY AND WHAT HE HAD REAR ENDED ME, I NUTURALLY GOT OFF MY CAR AND CURSED HIS A** OFF
AND ALL HE COULD SAY WAS SORRY AND ARE YOU ALL
RIGHT CLOSED HIS DOOR LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. NOW HE IS THE TYPE OF PERSON YOU OR ANYONE WOULDGET VERY PISSED OFF AT AND BE HARSH WITH.
AT LEAST SHE ADDMITTED TO WHAT SHE DID. HE DID TOO
BUT HE WANTED TO HIT AND RUN WHICH HE DID. THAT IS
THE KIND OF PERSON YOU REALLY GO AFTER AS WELL.

Hi. It's not that she is being judged harsly. It's basically the law where you can be charged with manslaughter if you were recklessly driving and caused an accident that resulted in a death. The only way she can avoid that is if she can prove that the car malfunctioned and that she did all she could to prevent the accident.

Because the women she died and what type of an example would it make if they just let her walk away without any trouble. Yes, it was an accident and yeah she's sorry but if given anyone else (not famous) they would be treated the same way.
I don't think she's getting any worse treatment then anyone else she's just in the news about it.
