ya know, Germany long time ago didn't exist, it used to be part of poland, but i never hear of poland being strong, only germany.

I have Polish ancestry, and I really enjoyed James Michener's Poland. He is such a great author anyway.
Actually Poland has appeared and disappeared by being conquered, numerous times. I can't say I would call the Polish people extremely powerful... but tenacious and proud works.
If you have time, I really suggest that book.

I think it has a lot to do with the Polish people, who had a special strength to endure so much. If you look at the 20th century, the Polish people endured both Nazism and Communism, and have survived. It is because of this special strength.

it's unique language and culture and it's location between russia and germany
