Almost anyplace that sells lumber or hardware should carry portable propane heaters.

There are two important things that you should know:

1. Leave a window or door cracked so that you're not overcome by carbon monoxide.

2. If it is a heater with an exposed, open flame, it should be located at least two feet above the garage floor when being used. This is to prevent heavier-than-air, explosive fumes from reaching the flame......................

Home Depot or any hardware store. I purchased a small one for $120, but it didn't come with the propane tank. You have to be careful wihere you put it, because it does put out the heat. They also take up quite a bit of space.

Home Depot also has a wall mounted natural gas heater, but you would need to be very handy or hire a handyman to install it.

for the garage or home buy a unvented wall mounted propane heater,no fumes,no flames, safety shut-offs,air quality sensors all built in.you can purchase them at lowes or walmarts .price range between 140 and 300 depending on the size you need .one to heat a 20 by 30 ft space would cost about 175.00 bucks. they also have them on ebay.
